This protein smoothie really has it all: proteins, healthy fats, fiber, and phytonutrients. On top of that, it tastes great and is super satisfying!
When enjoying this (or any) smoothie, my tip as a nutritionist is to enjoy it slowly (maybe over the course of 15-30 min) and try to chew it a bit as you eat it. I know that may seem counterintuitive to chew a creamy smoothie, but digestion begins in our mouth when food is mixed with juices that start the breakdown process.
Britt’s Protein Smoothie
Ingredients:
1/2 Medium zucchini
1/2 Ripe avocado
1/2 cup Frozen berries (wild blueberries or cherries are my favorites)
1 scoop Designs For Health PaleoMeal protein powder (I prefer the chocolate, but it also comes in vanilla if you like)
2 scoops Designs For Health Whole Body Collagen
3 Tbsp Organic hemp hearts
1 Tbsp Organic ground flax seeds
1 1/2 cup water
Instructions:
Place all ingredients in a high-speed blender and secure lid. Blend on high until smooth. Serve immediately and enjoy!
