Britt’s Protein Oatmeal

In my opinion, nothing beats a delicious bowl of oatmeal. If you agree, give my Protein Oatmeal a try!

This is my go-to recipe that not only satisfies my cravings but also provides blood sugar-stabilizing protein and healthy fats thanks to the incorporation of chia and hemp seeds.

Britt’s Protein Oatmeal

Ingredients:

3/4 cup water

pinch of salt

1/4 cup Organic steel cut oats

2 scoops Designs For Health Whole Body Collagen

3 Tbsp Organic hemp hearts

2 Tbsp Organic chia seeds

1 cup Unsweetened flaxmilk

Optional: Your choice of fresh fruit for topping

Instructions:

In a small saucepan over medium heat, bring water and salt to a boil.

Add in oats and collagen, stirring to mix well.

Reduce heat to low, cover the pot with a lid and allow to simmer for about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally. (If there’s a little water left after cooking that’s ok since we’re adding chia seeds next.)

Remove oats from heat. Stir in hemp hearts and chia seeds.

Serve in cereal bowl and top with flaxmilk and your toppings of choice (I love it with fresh berries).

Estimated protein per serving: 52 grams
